Israel is holding hundreds of Lebanese citizens in its prisons since the invasion of the Lebanese territories in 1978 without revealing their prisons or allowing the International Red Cross to visit them. 

Those citizens are listed as missing persons. Some of them were abducted during the Israeli invasions of the Lebanese territories and others were captured on battlefield against the Israeli forces in the occupied zones or while attacking the barracks of the Lebanese army. Many Lebanese soldiers were abducted from Marjayoun by the Israeli intelligence and the pro-Israeli militias or by Israeli military vessels that captured many citizens who are on the list of missing persons in the Israeli prisons. 

Some of the detainees were either killed under torture or they are still alive in the Israeli prisons. Many released prisoners have confirmed that they are several Lebanese missing citizens in the Israeli prisons. The presence of these missing persons in the Israeli prisons is confirmed through pictures of those detainees in Israeli camps which appear from time to time and the Israeli acknowledgment that the Lebanese detainee Nouhad Ahmad Mourad is still in detention after 9 years of denial. 

The recent confession confirms the presence of hundreds of Lebanese and Palestinian prisoners in Israeli prisons. However Israel refuses to admit that they exist or even to reveal their prisons.
